HOPE is honored to become the 8th SC FOODSHARE hub. The program uses a community-based approach to “Feed A Need” and improve health conditions of residents in underserved areas. To help launch this impactful program, friends of HOPE can participate in a state-wide fundraiser that benefits their local FOODSHARE.
On Monday, October 26, 2020, FoodShare Greenville, will offer a third virtual “Culinary Concert”. The first two events earlier this year raised more than $150,000 aimed at feeding even more families in our communities. Proceeds from this Culinary Concert will financially benefit FOODSHARE hubs across the state: Orangeburg, Bamberg, Lancaster, Spartanburg, Greenville, Columbia, Kershaw and Lee Counties. Participants can choose the hub from their very own community.
Join us for this virtual statewide fundraiser from the comfort of your home! Celebrity Chef Sallie Ann Robinson, Soby’s Executive Chef Shaun Garcia, Haig Point’s Executive Chef Taylor Griffin will join you virtually on Facebook “Live” to help you cook a Gullah-Geechee style, three-course dinner for two. Enjoy musical entertainment by Grammy-winning band Ranky Tanky. Special guest appearances by Table 301 President Carl Sobocinski, Chef Rodney Freidenk, and more!
Each Culinary Concert package includes ingredients to prepare a three-course meal for two with a cocktail pairing and a bottle of wine. Your box pick-up location is a HOPE on Sunday, October 25th between the hours of 12-4pm. Participants will cook, sip & listen live on Facebook at 6:30pm on Monday, October 26th enjoying the Culinary Concert broadcasting live from Haig Point on Daufuskie Island.
